Starting January 1, 2022, Texas landlords are required to provide certain flood disclosure information to tenants signing new leases or renewals. Authored by Texas Rep. Armando Walle, the bill mandates landlords to inform tenants in writing if a property has flooded in the last five years and/or if the property is located in a 100-year flood plain. Section 92.0135 to read as follows:
